District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) in Mufumbwe District of North Western Province, Collins Masumba says government will soon complete construction of 1×2 laboratories at three schools in the district.
Mr. Masumba says the construction of the laboratories will be at Kashima, Kamizekezeke, and Kalenda schools is been done at a cost of more than K3.8 million.
Mr. Masumba told ZANIS in an interview in Mufumbwe, that so far two of the laboratories are at roof level while one is on gable level.
“At Kalende Day school the lab is at roof level, at Kashima roofing and plastering has been done, while at Kamizekezeke the progress is at Gable level,” he said.
Mr. Masumba added that the contractor, Met Weld has returned on site having been away for some months after running out of materials.
The DEBS has since called on the contractor to quickly finish the project for the benefit of pupils at the schools.
