Mayoral elections scheduled for 4th April in Kalulushi district

—-Mayoral elections for Kalulushi Municipal Council are scheduled for 4^th. April2014.

Council Public Relations Officer Kangwa Muma confirmed the development in an interview in Kalulushi today.

Mr. Muma said that the new people would be ushered in into office in this special year when Zambia would be celebrating golden jubilee.

He said the elections were in accordance with the provision of section 3(2) B of local government act of 2010.

He said the term for the current mayor Howard Simpemba was coming to an end.

Mr. Muma added that the Councilors would be electing a mayor and a deputy mayor who would serve for the next two years and a half.
