Mr Phiri , 46 died on Sunday at Wusakile Mine hospital after an illness. Mr Phiri was a student at Mpelembe Secondary School and The University of Manchester University in UK. Upon his return from UK, he worked for ZCCM in Kitwe before he left to start Dove Computing.
Dove Computing Services Head of Business Development Desmond Mwansa confirmed Mr Phiri’s death in Kitwe yesterday.
Mr Mwansa said Mr Phiri complained of feeling weak on Saturday while at Pick n Pay Stores and on his way, called one of the taxi drivers to assist him drive the vehicle.
He was rushed to Hill view hospital and later transferred to Wusakile hospital where he died around 23:00hours on Sunday.
Funeral gathering is being held at 2255 Zambezi Way Riverside, Kitwe.
He is survived by a wife and three children.
