Freedom Fighters Association has appealed to relevant authorities to consider buying uniforms to be put on during the Golden Jubilee this year.
Mansa District Freedom Fighters Association chairperson Cyprian Mulonda disclosed in a statement availed to K-FM News desk today.
Mr. Mulonda said there is need to buy uniforms in form of Chitenge material so that the existing freedom fighters must be well identified during the celebration of 50 years of independence.
He said the uniforms should be labeled with freedom fighters log for them to shine during the Golden Jubilee.
Mr. Mulonda has therefore appealed to Luapula province Members of Parliament, the Provincial Administration, the office of the District Commissioner and other relevant authorities to come on board and look into the plight of freedom fighters.
