Vice President Dr. Guy Scott says government has embarked on construction of Universities in each of the 10 Provinces and to set up youth resource centers in each district.
Dr Scott also revealed that construction of the Robert Makasa University in Chinsali has been completed and will be commissioned soon.
Speaking on behalf of the president at the Youth day celebration in Lusaka Vice president Dr Guy SCOTT said government is committed to improving the welfare of the youths.
The Vice President paid tribute to the youths who played a vital role in the freedom struggle that lead to Zambia’s Independence 50 years ago.

Meanwhile, the Vice President says it is sad that Opposition political parties have decided to shun Youth day celebrations.
And Sports and Youth Minister Chishimba Kambwili says the theme was crafted so that all stakeholders take stock of want they have done about the welfare of the youths for the past 50 years.
And speaking for the youths Suzan Chibwe says youths in the country have resolved to rise above political affiliations and focus on projects that are aimed at developing the nation.
Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini, Acting Chief Justice and several senior PF and Government Officers Were all at the Freedom stature.
