The death toll in the Kitwe-Ndola dual carriageway accident has risen to 15.
Copperbelt police commissioner Joyce Kasosa said in an interview today that nine out of the 15 dead people have been identified.
Meanwhile, only seven of the accident victims are still admitted in hospital.
One accident victim is admitted at Wusakile Mine Hospital while six are receiving treatment at Kitwe Central Hospital.
Wusakile Mine Hospital medical manager Ronny Cheelo said three out of
the four accidents victims that had remained were discharged yesterday.
Dr Cheelo said the remaining patient sustained multiple fractured legs and hands requiring extensive surgery.
And Kitwe Central Hospital spokesperson Grey Chishimba confirmed that six accident victims were still admitted at the institution.
Thirteen people died on the spot on the Kitwe-Ndola dual carriage in a road traffic accident involving a truck, a car and a minibus on Tuesday this week.
The number has however risen to 15 after two more accident victims died in hospital.
