The National Council for Construction (NCC) has reiterated its aim of promoting high quality and standard buildings in the Zambian construction industry.
National Council for Construction board chairperson Francis Ndilila has since urged Zambians to seek authorities from relevant organizations before building their structures.
Dr. Ndilila said NCC has always been working with the Lusaka City Council (LCC) and other authorities to ensure that all the stages in the legal structure building process are followed.
Meanwhile, Lusaka City Council Public Relations Manager Mulunda Habeenzu said the public should realize that the council had a duty to ensure that legal building structures are allocated in designated areas.
Mr. Habeenzu said the legal structures should be approved by the LCC and other relevant authorities until the occupation permit is given to the landlord.
