–The Zambia Telecommunication (ZAMTEL) ltd says it will roll out to 450 sites in order to improve access to telecommunications among people in the country.
Zamtel head of marketing, Evans Muhanga, said this will increase the number of Zamtel sites to over 1000 across the country.
Mr Muhanga was speaking during the Nc’wala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni people of Eastern Province in Chipata district this afternoon.
He stated that Zamtel is committed to ensure that more people have access to telecommunications and noted that it has partnered with the Zambia Information Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA) in an effort to roll out services to all chiefdoms in the country.
Mr Muhanga added that his company remains committed to support traditional ceremonies in the country.
Zamtel is the main sponsor of this year’s Nc’wala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni speaking people in Eastern province.
