Mortuary, surgical ward at Kafue hospital near completion

—Government says the completion of the mortuary extension and the surgical ward in Kafue will enhance service delivery in the district.

Kafue Member of Parliament, Obvious Mwaliteta, says the projects, which were funded by the provincial health office, are scheduled to be officially opened to the public on February 27.

Mr Mwaliteta said this during an on sport check on the projects at Kafue district hospital today.

The Member of Parliament emphasized government’s commitment in improving health services in the country.

And Kafue District Acting Medical Superintendent, Nagandu Malungo, cited erratic water supply and lack of electricity in the completed semi-detached staff houses as some of the challenges being faced by the hospital.
