African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption (APNAC) has called on Tourism Minister Sylvia Masebo to step down to pave way for investigations.

APNAC Chairperson Cornelius Mweetwa has told Qfm News in an interview that Ms Masebo will show maturity and protect her integrity by stepping down ahead of her tribunal hearing commencing next week.

Mr. Mweetwa says APNAC expected President Micheal Sata to have acted by dropping Ms Masebo in the same way he dropped Pambashe Member of Parliament and his Mwansabombwe counterpart Rodgers Mwewa as deputy ministers to pave way for their investigation.

He states that there is need for Members of Parliament facing corruption allegations to show maturity by stepping down without being told to do so.

The tribunal appointed to probe Ms Masebo’s misconduct over the operations of the Zambia Wildlife Authority will begin sitting on Monday.
