Health Minister, Joseph Kasonde has admitted that very little progress has been made on the Sondashi Formula 2000 clinical trials.
Dr. Kasonde has told Qfm News in an interview that the ministry is still at the level of ascertaining whether the SF 2000 is safe.
Dr. Kasonde states that the delay in concluding the clinical trials should not imply that the ministry is reluctant or is not doing anything.
He says there is need for patience as the ministry wants to ensure that herb meets all the safety requirements before moving to the next stage.
Dr. Kasonde adds that the ministry is keen to help find a cure for HIV/AIDS and will welcome initiatives such as the Sondashi Formula.
