The Movement for Multi party Democracy (MMD) in Northern Province says the party only recognizes Henry Kanyanta Sosala as the duly appointed Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people in Kasama.
MMD Northern Province Chairperson Stephen Mukuka states that his party will not allow the alleged situation where government involves itself in matters of chief’s affairs.
Mr. Mukuka has charged that police officers stationed at Paramount Chief Chitimukulu palace are wrongly placed saying they should have been taken to other needy areas.
He has since demanded that government should consider gazeting Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.
And MMD Northern Province Chairperson Stephen Mukuka has maintained that his party will rally behind Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba if the PF expels him from the party.
