THREE people die on the Solwezi-Mwinilunga road.

North-Western Province deputy commissioner of police Michael Nkaka said the three died after being hit by a Land Cruiser registration number ATB 1192.
Mr Nkaka  identified the three as Blessings Kanchini, 24, who was riding the motor bike, Emily Mwakema, 24, and Barena Kaponda, 32, all of Mwinilunga who died on the spot.
He said the driver of the Land cruiser Febistres Sinyola aged 32 of urban compound in Solwezi has been charged and detained at Mwinilunga police station for causing death by dangerous driving.
The bodies of the three are currently in Mwinilunga district hospital awaiting postmortem.
And in another incident, a 31-year-old man of Chavuma died on the spot after being hit by an unregistered Subaru motor vehicle along the Zambezi-Chavuma road.
Mr Nkaka identified the deceased as Roy Kachongo 22 of Sakavuyi village in Chavuma district who was hit while crossing the road.
He said Brian Chinyama, a teacher at Kamisamba primary school who was the driver of the unregistered Subaru has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
