NMP president Ng’andu Magande says this is why he is interested to know what the political parties that have formed the alliance will do after they remove the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) from government.
Mr Magande says the country’s history already shows that past attempts by some opposition political parties who formed an alliance with the sole intention of removing the MMD from government did not work.
Mr. Magande notes that this is because the opposition political parties did not reconcile their different manifestoes and how they were going to govern the country after removing the MMD from government.
He adds disclosing what they intend to do once they have removed the PF from government will also help the people in the country to understand what the alliance’s objectives are.
Meanwhile United Liberal Party (ULP) President, Sakwiba Sikota has advised the four opposition political parties in the alliance to show seriousness by ensuring that there is a proper management process of the alliance if more political parties are to join.
Mr. Sikota adds that it is also important that the four opposition political parties that have taken the leading role in formulating the alliance make it more attractive by ensuring that its objectives are made clear for any other political party to understand its motives.
