Roan United are hoping to bring back their ex-midfielder Tom Bakala on a loan deal from Zesco United.
The ex-Zambia Under-20 national team midfielder is one of 10 players Zesco has released on loan for the 2014 Faz Super League season.
Bakala joined Zesco from Roan at the end of the 2012 season but found very little playing time at the 2013 Super League runners up.
“Yes, we intend to engage him, we intend to work with him again this season,” Roan secretary Chisoni Miti said.
“We have engaged Zesco and they hinted that he is still their player, so we want to get him on loan.”
Bakala is young brother to ex-Zambia international midfielder Ian Bakala.
Roan are hoping his return is certain to boost their squad ahead of the 2014 season that kicks off on March 1.
The Luanshya side finished the 2013 Faz Super League season in 9th position after a promising early run that saw them hover in the top five before losing steam on the final stretch of the 2013 campaign.
Meanwhile, the younger Bakala was sent out on loan together with high profile players like defender Nyambe Mulenga and striker Patrick Kabamba.
Nyambe and Kabamba have already settled down at Power Dynamos where they are finalising loan stays for the rest of the 2014 season.
