Luapula Province Permanent Secretary (PS), Chanda Kasolo, has vowed to meet Inyatsi contractors over the quality of road works done on the Mansa–Chembe road.
Mr Kasolo’s intention to meet Inyatsi Contractors follows complaints by Chembe District Commissioner, Simon Lwando, who wondered why the road works on the Chembe-Mansa road which were completed few months ago by have already started developing cracks on some spots.
The PS said he was going to pay an impromptu visit on Inyasi Contractors and ensure that they do a good job.
And Road Development Agency Provincial Engineer, Gunston Meleki, said Inyatsi was supposed to do 10 km of road reconstruction but only did 4 km.
Mr Kasolo said he received a number of phone calls during his Radio Yangeni live phone in programme from residents of Mansa and Chembe about Inyatsi quality of works on the Chembe-Mansa road and people were not happy with the poor workmanship.
The PS was making a physical inspection of the quality of works by Inyatsi Contractors on the Chembe –Mansa road and confirmed for himself the concerns being raised by the on the poor quality of works on the road.
