Power Dynamos have agreed to refund Gor Mahia Football Club of Kenya $3800 that midfielder Julius Situmbeko received after his recent erred signing with the club.
The two clubs have since agreed not to report Situmbeko to the Football International Federation Association FIFA for double dealing.
Situmbeko is alleged to have signed an illegal contract with Gor Mahia in December during the 2013 CECAFA cup in Kenya after alleging that he was a free agent when in fact he had a running contract with Power Dynamos.
Power Dynamos Club Secretary, Ricky Mamfunda, confirmed the development to ZANIS Sports in Lusaka yesterday.
Mamfunda said Gor Mahia had given Power Dynamos $38000 as the actual figure to be refunded and refuted media reports that the player pocketed $6000.
He said once Power settles the refund to the Kenyan side next week, the club is expected to take administrative measures against the player.
Meanwhile, Situmbeko has continued to quietly go about his pre-season business at Power Dynamos since returning from national duty at the just ended CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
