The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) has refuted media reports that it delays paying ASPHALT Paving Limited, resulting in delays on roadworks.
NRFA Public Relations Officer (PRO) Alphonsius Hamachila, says his firms has been paying ASPHALT Paving Limited as and when the money is available.
Mr Hamachila said ASPHALT Paving Limited has been doing a number of road works in many areas and the company has been receiving money from the agency when the funds are available.
Speaking in a telephone interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, Mr Hamachila said ASPHALT Paving Limited has never told the agency that it has never been paid for the road works done.
Mr Hamachila was responding to claims in some sections of the media stating that the Road Development Agency (RDA) has delayed paying ASPHALT Paving Limited (APL).
ASPHALT Paving Limited is said to have been contracted by the Road Development Agency (RDA) to assist Mivami Construction Company, the main contractor, in road works construction in Chingola.
The delayed payment by Road Development Agency (RDA) has allegedly slowed down the road works in Chingola.
