President Michael Sata has been called upon to relieve Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba of his duties if he does not step down on his own on moral grounds in view of the tribunal that has been constituted to probe allegations that he abused his office and breached the Oath of Secrecy.

On Monday, 13th January, a three member tribunal whose chairman is Acting Supreme Court Judge Evans Hamaundu was sworn in by Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda.

Senior blind citizen Elijah Ngwale says now that the members of the tribunal have been sworn in it is incumbent upon Mr. Kabimba to step down on moral grounds failure to which President should drop him.

Mr. Ngwale has told Qfm News in a telephone interview that this is because it is not expected that Mr. Kabimba will remain neutral in his position as Justice Minister while the tribunal is hearing his matter.

He says there is likelihood that the three arms of government will be compromised should Mr. Kabimba not resign and the Head of State fail to relieve him of his duties in view of the constituted tribunal.
