CHIPOLOPOLO star players, Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala have been shortlisted for the 2013 Footballer of the Year award at Democratic Republic of Congo giants, TP Mazembe.
Kalaba, the 2011 award winner, and Sinkala, who clinched a six-month loan deal at French Ligue 1 Sochaux, were nominated as potential successors to the crown scooped by compatriot, Stoppila Sunzu last year.
Sunzu, who penned a three-year contract at Sochaux, has not been listed for the 2013 accolade.
The two Zambian midfielders, who played a pivotal role in helping Mazembe reach the 2013 CAF Confederation Cup final, will be up against Tanzanian striker, Mbwana Samatta, Solomon Asante of Ghana and Congolese eccentric goalkeeper, Robert Kidiaba.
Mazembe fans have up to to midnight January 17 to vote for their favourite candidate through the club website, facebook or twitter accounts.
The winner will be announced at a gala night this Friday in Lubumbashi.
