—-About eleven health posts will this year be constructed in Senanga and Nalolo districts in Western province.
Senanga District Medical Officer Kenneth Mbozi disclosed the development to ZANIS in an interview nn Senanga today.
Dr Mbozi said the health posts once constructed will help many people access quality health services without difficulties.
He however pointed out that the only challenge that will be faced is delivering of building materials in the west bank as most of the places are now getting flooded.
Senanga District Medical Officer is still in charge of health facilities in the newly created Nalolo district.
The District Medical Officer also disclosed that phase two of Senanga Nursing School has commenced.
Dr Mbozi said unlike phase one which was funded by the Zambian government, phase two has been funded by the American Embassy and if all goes according to plan, the school will start functioning mid this year.
He said the first intake is targeting 40 students who will occupy the two lecture rooms and that once the school commences, Senanga District Hospital is expected to be upgraded to a General hospital for it to qualify to run a Registered Nursing School.
