A retired Zambia Airforce -ZAF- officer has been shot dead by his son in Mumbwa District.
Lieutenant Colonel Paul Kamuchele, 55, who retired in September 2013, was shot by his 26 year old son Emmanuel.
Emmanuel who has confirmed killing his Father to Police in Mumbwa says his father was very cruel to the family and relatives and he wanted the family to enjoy the pension in peace without him.
Both Mumbwa District Commissioner Sunday Shamabanse and District Police Officer Commanding Officer Josephat Mawere have confirmed.
Mr. Shamabanse says on 29th December a Toyota Carina was found abandoned at the Farmers Union premises with blood stains and three empty cartridges inside.
After investigations the vehicle was discovered to belong to a retired ZAF officer who on 29th December left home in the company of his first born son Emmanuel.
Mr. Shamabanse says that it was between ZAF base and Mumbwa Boma when Emmanuel fired at his father three times in the head and later dumped the body in the forest.
The DC revealed that Emmanuel after further interrogations yesterday evening lead the police to where he dumped his father’s body and that it was found in a decomposed state.
And Mr. Mawere says Emmanuel has been charged with murder and his in police custody waiting to appear in court.
