Sochaux are reportedly closing in on a deal for Zambia and TP Mazembe defender Stopilla Sunzu.
According to Football365.fr, talks with the DR Congo club for the 24-year-old 2012 Africa Cup hero’s services have reached an advanced stage.
Sochaux are currently coached by Sunzu’s ex-Zambia boss Herve Renard.
“According to our information talks are at an advanced stage with the Zambian international Stophila Sunzu whose contract expires in December 2015 contact,” Football360.fr stated.
“Hervé Renard has been given the green light to sign his former protégé in Chipolopolos.”
Should the Sunzu deal go through, he will join his Chipolopolo team mate Emmanuel Mayuka also plays for the French club.
Sochaux are currently second bottom of the French Ligue 1 table with just two wins from 19 games played this season
