Mr Mabo’s appeal comes in the wake of an incident where a 34-year-old man of Kabanda Township was duped by three unknown men who were masquerading as male circumcision service providers and circumcised him using a knife.
The man who was circumcised at his home and was charged K40 for the service was left with nearly impaired private parts.
Mr Mabo said in Mwinilunga yesterday that the culprits should be arrested because they were endangering the lives of members of the public through unprofessional acts.
He further appealed to people seeking male circumcision to visit health centres where the services were offered professionally and free of charge.
A 34-year-old man of Mwinilunga, whose name has been withheld, is reported to have bled almost to death before he was rushed to the hospital after he was circumcised by unknown men using a knife.
