Patriotic Front (PF) Lusaka Central Constituency Secretary Humphrey Kapapula has appealed to party members to handle the resignation of former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba with care and respect.
Mr.Kapapula says Mr. Mwamba remains a senior member of the party despite his resignation from his cabinet portfolio.
Mr. Kapapula who is also Lubwa Ward Councilor says members of the party should refrain from celebrating such resignations of senior members of the party.
He adds that it is imperative that the party promotes reconciliation in its ranks and engage in discussions on it can work on mistakes made.
He notes that it is not right for any member of the party to issue press statements with regards Mr Mwamba’s resignation as the party has senior organs tasked with such responsibilities.
Mr Kapapula adds that Mr. Mwamba had a personal discussion with the Head of State hence the need for party members to wait upon the party Secretary General to give a final position on the matter and the way forward.
