FOUR Lusaka basketball sides go into action this evening in the 2013 Sprite National Basketball Championship Play-offs with men’s defending champions, University of Zambia (UNZA) Pacers and women holders, Shells both involved.
In what is expected to be an explosive weekend, Zambia’s top four teams in the men and women categories will be going at each other like gladiators amid a noisy and cheering crowd in a best-of-three format.
With all Copperbelt sides eliminated in the earlier knock out rounds, it remains an all Lusaka affair in the finals with games starting at 17:00 hours.
The games will also be played tomorrow and possibly Sunday.
Today’s games will be played at National Sports Development Centre (NASDEC) while tomorrow’s fixtures will be at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) with the possibilities of Sunday going back to NASDEC.
