First Lady Dr Kaseba arrived at Cape town International Airport at 19:00hrs aboard a South African Commercial Aircraft to grace the 17th International Conference on HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Africa (ICASA) which will be officially opened on December 7,2013.
Dr Kaseba would be co-guest of honour with South African Deputy President Kgalema Motlhanthe for the annual event which will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The conference would be attended by other dignitaries and organisations including former Botswana president Fetus Mogae, ministerial delegations, regional directors, United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, United Nations Population Fund and other regional agencies, sponsors and exhibitors.The Zambian delegation includes the ministry of Health and ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health.Between 700 and 1,000 leading scientists, policy makers, government leaders and people living with HIV/AIDS will attend the bi-annual conference being held under the theme ‘Now More Than Ever: Targeting Zero’.
