ZAMBIA Under-20 Women coach, Charles Bwale has said his side will not underrate Equatorial Guinea when the duo clash at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka next week.
Bwale anticipated a tough match against the West Africans in the qualifiers for the Canada 2014 FIFA Under-20 Women World Cup scheduled to take place from August 5 to 24.
Speaking in an interview yesterday, Bwale urged his charges to ‘die a little for mother Zambia’ because Equatorial Guinea was a strong side.
“A look at how Equatorial Guinea managed to beat Ivory Coast in the last round qualifiers is enough to describe them as a strong team and my girls are ready not to take chances,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bwale said the girls are training hard and looking forward to a positive result especially with the morale from the Under-17 Women’s qualification to the Costa Rica 2014 FIFA World Cup.
“The qualification of their younger sisters to the Costa Rica World Cup is an indication that everything is possible. We can qualify to Canada 2014 World Cup,” Bwale said.
Bwale is expected to name the final squad next week ahead of the first leg which will be played at Nkoloma Stadium on December 7.
The girls beat Namibia on a 3-0 aggregate scoreline in the first round of qualifiers.
