POWER Dynamos coach Tennant Chilumba has said he will recall all players currently on loan to other clubs to be assessed during the 2014 pre-season.
Three players who were surplus to Power’s requirements this season made an impact at their adopted clubs with some of them earning themselves high profile status following their Chipolopolo call-ups.
Defender Christopher Munthali is on loan to Nkana, while strikers Alex Ng’onga and Felix Nyaende left for Nchanga Rangers.
All three left during the tenure of Chilumba’s predecessor Beston Chambeshi who the latter replaced in June.
Chilumba said in an interview that positions for next season’s campaign were open to those willing to fight for their places at Power.
“This time Power has a different coach and a different approach. I will ask them to come back first then we will assess them to see if they can fit in with my plans. If they won’t then we will see what we can do,” Chilumba said
Chilumba reiterated that every player would be accorded a chance to prove his worth.
He said Munthali, too, was on his plans despite being on Nkana’s list for their 2014 CAF continental campaign.
Power are currently enjoying a revival of form under Chilumba after earlier flirting with the prospect of relegation in their initial 17 games before losing just once in their subsequent 12 matches.
The Arthur Davies side is currently seventh on the table on 42 points ahead of their final game of the season away to 2012 defending champions, Zanaco on November 16.
