Jassy, who arrived in Antananarivo, Madagascar a week before the rally, said he would not let the change of dates affect him as he aims to win his maiden ARC title.
The final round of the eight-legged ARC rally comes to an end in Madagascar this weekend with the Zambian hoping to win the event.
Mangat leads the chart with 83 points, followed by Jassy, while Rwanda’s Giancarlo Davite is third on 58 points, out-going champion Mohammed Essa is stuck on fourth position with 50 points.
“The team is having a good time here, everything is now falling into place and we are all excited ahead of this weekend’s rally. The car is ready and now parked. We will do another small test tomorrow (today) just to finalise everything,” Jassy said in an interview from his base in Antananarivo.
Jassy said after a test drive, he took time off to have a view of the town and was confident of winning the rally, but was quick to add that he was expecting a tough race from Mangat.
