The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has urged President Michael Sata to stop unnecessary attacks on their leader, Hakainde Hichilema.

Commenting on President Sata’s remarks likening Mr Hichilema to a ‘Merchant of Death,’UPND Deputy Secretary General, Kuchunga Simusamba, says President Sata is being fade with wrong information by people close to him hence responding with bitterness without getting the facts right.

Mr. Simusamba has told QFM News that Mr. Hichilema did not incite the nurses and midwives to continue with their strike but only sympathized with them as a responsible leader.

He states that Mr. Hichilema has no evil or cruel intentions but cares for this nation including the people suffering in UTH.

Mr. Simusamba explains that Mr. Hichilema had gone to UTH to see if the nurses and midwives had gone back to work following public media reports that nurses had ended their strike.
