Mines Deputy Minister, Richard Musukwa, says since the introduction of the online registration for the mining rights by the PF government, there has been accountability and transparency in the issuance of mining licenses.
Mr. Musukwa says the process has also seen a reduction in the cases of corruption being recorded in the issuance of mining licenses in the ministry.
He adds that people who have been applying for mining licenses are impressed with the new process of online registration as they no longer wait in long queues to obtain mining rights.
Mr Musukwa says government will continue to move in tandem with the latest technology in order to serve the Zambian populace and the international community who are seeking to invest in the country better.
