FORMER Southern Province Permanent Secretary, Edwin Zumbunu has been arrested for alleged corrupt practices involving more than K195,000.

Mr Zumbunu, 40, of house number 1448, Palm Drive, Chelstone in Lusaka was arrested yesterday by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and charged with wilful failure to comply with applicable procedure relating to procurement contrary to the law.

Particulars of the offence are that Mr Zumbunu between May 1, 2012 and August 31, 2012 as permanent secretary for Southern Province, wilfully failed to comply with applicable procedure relating to procurement when he approved works for the erection of a wall fence.
