COACHES for the Zambia Under-17 Women soccer team have submitted their training programme for the World Cup second qualification round match against South Africa scheduled for November.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications manager, Erick Mwanza said in Lusaka yesterday that Zambia would be at home in the first leg which is set for November 2, and the return leg would be played in South Africa on the weekend of November 23 and 24.
Mwanza announced that the team which was currently off camp was, however, very fit having defeated Botswana 3-1 a fortnight ago.
He said his association would announce which coaches would work with the team for the home and the away game at a later date.
“The team still has a lot of time; almost two months before the home game and almost three months before the away game, so there is still alot of time before they can go into camp for the preparations,” he said.
He, however, expressed confidence that the team would be fully prepared for the games saying they were not sitting idle even as they were not in camp.
In the first leg match in Gaborone, Zambia beat their Botswana counterparts 5-2 and edged them 2-0 in Lusaka for a re-sounding 8-3 aggregate score to set a date with perennial rivals South Africa.
