Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) president, Bishop David Masupa has expressed concern over what he has termed as an unnecessary debate going in the Patriotic Front with regards to President Michael Sata’s 2016 candidature.
Bishop Masupa has told Qfm News that Zambia is a Christian nation and that all politicians should seek God’s guidance before they mislead the nation.
He says it is unfortunate to see leaders who are supposed to spearhead developmental projects begin to talk about endorsements three years away from the next general election.
He explains that Zambia is lagging behind in many areas of the economy on which the Patriotic Front administration should concentrate on.
Bishop Masupa says the PF government has been mandated to move the country forward by the Zambian people.
He says this is not the time to divert attention from real development issues to politics because the people are eager to see their lives uplifted.
