Zambia under-17 women national team captain Martha Tembo is upbeat of beating Botswana in Friday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier in Gaborone.
In an interview in Lusaka yesterday before departure for Gaborone by road, Tembo said her desire is to lead the team to the World Cup finals and she assured the team will not disappoint the nation.
“We have prepared adequately for the game. I don’t see ourselves coming back with a loss. We are looking forward to winning the first leg and the second leg,” she said.
Coach Albert Kachinga is also bubbling with confidence that his team will triumph and that arriving in Gaborone two days before the match will not disadvantage the team.
