Water plant equipment  from Spain scheduled to arrive in a fortnight

Nakonde, July 15, 2013 – ZANIS – The Seven million kwacha modula water plant equipment procured by the Government from Spain for Nakonde water treatment plant in Muchinga Province is scheduled to arrive in the border town in a fortnight’s time.

 

The equipment which will be the first of its kind in the country will be used to treat water at Chambeshi Water and Sewerage Company treatment plant.

 

ZANIS reports from Nakonde District that area Water Rehabilitation Project Resident Site Engineer Simbani Zulu  confirmed the development in an interview , today.

 

Mr. Zulu said the rehabilitation works on the project was progressing  well adding that  once the equipment will be installed by experts from Spain.

 

The Resident Engineer said the modular plant will supply up to  300, 000 volumes of water quantity per day to the members of the community in the district.

He  said that the equipment would add value in terms of providing quality treated water to the residents.

And Saftex Constructing Company engaged to carry out the works on the treatment said he is optimistic that his company will finish the worksv within the stipulated time framework.

Shaftex Construction Company Project Manager Joseph Mutale noted that so far the works were progressing well adding that works are expected to be completed by September or November to allow the installation of the modular plant equipment by the experts.
