Former ZNBC Technician appointed DC for Luano District
Kabwe July 10/13, ZANIS ——————- Former ZNBC technician, Luke Mwamba, has been appointed district commissioner (DC) for the
newly established Luano district in Central Province.
ZANIS reports that Central Province Permanent Secretary Annie Sinyangwe confirmed the development in an interview in Kabwe today.
Mr. Mwamba who was a senior technician with ZNBC, also confirmed the new development .
He was prior to his new appointment, the Lusaka Province constituency Patriotic Front (PF chairperson.
And chief Chembe of Luano district welcomed the appointment of Mr. Mwamba as district commissioner for the area.
The traditional ruler, said he was happy that finally government has sent a DC to spearhead development in the area.
Chief Chembe said while others were talking about having a local person to be the DC for the area, what he wanted to see the new district was
development to higher heights by an eligible person despite of his or her orgin.
Chief Chembe urged Mr. Mwamba to feel free and call on him at anytime and also show commitment and dedication to duty saying Luano district
urgently needed development such as good road network and other social amenities from government.
There are four new districts in Central Province which, apart from Luano, include Chisamba, Chitambo and Ngabwe.
