–Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Commissioner, Justice Christopher Mushabati, has implored youths in the country to strongly condemn all forms of malpractices in the electoral process.
Justice Mushabati said youths should take up their rightful role and provide an exemplary leadership in holding peaceful campaigns during elections.
He said this yesterday during the Solwezi East Constituency youth conference against malpractices and violence organised by the ECZ.
Justice Mushabati cautioned youths not to allow themselves to be used as tools of violence or destruction but of promoting peace, unity and development in their communities.
He added that even when provoked during election campaigns, youths must exercise maximum restraint to acts of violence and behaviours likely to cause anarchy in the country.
Justice Mushabati urged registered voters in Solwezi East Constituency to show leadership by turning out in big numbers to vote for their preferred candidate.
