Mansa College of Education receives bus
Mansa/June 19, 2013/ZANIS———–Mansa College of Education Principal, Peter Chishimba, has commended government for procuring a bus for the institution.
Mr Chishimba said the procurement of the bus at the institution is in line with government’s policy of empowering institutions with transport.
He said the procurement of the bus at the institution will go a long way in addressing various hardships that the school has been going through in terms of transport.
ZANIS reports that Mr Chishimba said this when he presented a 55-seater Higer Bus to Luapula Province Minister, Benson Kapaya, at the Provincial Administration Offices in Mansa.
And Luapula Province Minister, Benson Kapaya, called on the students to take the procurement of the bus as a motivation to their school work and sports activities.
Gen Kapaya said he was happy that Mansa College of Education is the first college to receive a Higer Bus.
Meanwhile, Mansa College of Education Preventive Maintenance Coordinator, Ethan Chanda, said the procurement of the bus at the institution will go a long way in addressing the hardships that students go through during attachments.
Mr Chanda, a second year student at the college, said students have for a long time been faced with problems of transport during their attachment, a situation he said will be a thing of the past with the coming of the new bus.
