NIPA opens another campus in Ndola
Ndola, June 12, ZANIS ——National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) will open a campus in Ndola with the first intake being July, 2013.
NIPA Director for Outreach Programme Mulemwa Mubiana told ZANIS in an interview in Ndola that the institution was taking NIPA to the door steps of the people in accordance with the Patriotic Front’s manifesto of decentralization.
Mr Mubiana said for a nation to develop there is need for human resource capacity adding that the Ndola campus will offer the same courses that are offered at the main campus in Lusaka.
Mr Mubiana also said the institute would be celebrating its golden jubilee this year and that establishing a campus in Ndola would benefit the people of Ndola as most students at the main campus were from Copperbelt.
He said the institute was established to develop human resource capacity in the country adding that the institute was in the process of upgrading its training programmes to degree level.
He added that for a start, the NIPA Ndola campus would offer full time and part-time courses with no boarding facilities as the institution will be renting the premises where it will be operating from.
“Training programmes for distance learning will be provided in order to accommodate clients who are unable to attend full-time and part-time classes.
The programmes will follow the same syllabus as full-time and part-time as well as writing the same examinations,” Mr Mubiana said.
