Struggling Diggers face Mufulira

‘MEN AT WORK’ Diggers’ should put behind their disappointing performance in last Saturday’s Mufulira Sevens Rugby Championship when they host Mufulira in the Buildcon National Rugby League (NRL) Week Nine match at Nkana West Rugby Field in Kitwe.
Diggers, who crashed out of the tournament at the semi-final stage, surrendered the Mufulira Sevens title to resurgent Red Arrows.
The Kitwe giants have now lost three titles since the beginning of this season after surrendering the Nchanga 10s title to Green Buffaloes and MTN American title to ‘Powerhouse’ Lusaka.
Diggers’ coach Robertson ‘Plough’ Kang’ongwe is realising that his team is no longer a threat.
“We need to work hard for us to defend our league title. It is painful to lose three titles,” Kang’ongwe said.
Kang’ongwe will unleash Ephraim Musukwa, Benaya Mukwamba and Enerst Mwansa to get a win over Mufulira.
On the other hand, Mufulira could capitalise on Diggers poor run to cause an upset.
Diggers have 34 points while Eagles have 22 points.
EAGLES vs LUSAKA
Green Eagles will seek to complete a double over ‘Powerhouse’ Lusaka when the teams clash in Kabwe.
This will be an explosive match as Lusaka will be out to avenge the 41-6 home defeat they suffered to Eagles in the reverse fixture in Lusaka.
Lusaka have Michello Shelleni to secure them victory while Eagles will rely on Mado Nyirongo, Ashman Chisha, Felix Mpundu and Anthony Kalengo for victory.

Rejuvenated Red Arrows have chance to close in on Diggers when they take on Roan in Luanshya.
If Arrows display the same form they showed when they won the Mufulira Sevens, then Roan will be given a good hiding.
