MP warns against drug trafficking
Mpika , June 7, 2013, ZANIS— Mfuwe Member of parliament Mwimba Malama has warned people in his constituency to desist from abusing drugs.
Addressing a meeting at Changalilo school in his constituency today, Mr Malama said the law will deal firmly with any person involved in illegal dealing of psychotropic substances such as ganja .
He revealed that the PF government through the Drug Enforcement Commission is striving to stump out drug abuse .
Mr Malama explained that trafficking or cultivating ganja is illegal in Zambia and people who shall be found wanting will be dealt with severely.
The Mfuwe area member of parliament was recently in chief Nabwalya and chief Mpumba areas on an anti drug mission.
Mr Malama held meetings in chief Mukungule area, Lushinga Chisala, Kapamba falls,Lufila and Katibunga.
