Kabompo man seeks wheel chair assistance
Kabompo, May 31, 2013, ZANIS–A 73 year old paralyzed man of Kamwala
compound in Kabompo district is appealing for a wheel chair assistance
to enable him access medical services at the district hospital.
A ZANIS reporter in Kabompo yesterday found Peter Mbilikita, a retired
mechanic from the ministry of works and supply being attended to by
his 66 year old wife, Leah outside his house.
Mr Mbilikita who cannot walk on his own said that he has been finding
difficulties to access medical services at the district hospital
because he has neither a wheel chair nor money to book a taxi.
He said he fell ill and both legs became paralyzed shortly after he
had retired from the ministry of works and supply in 1998.
Mr Mbilikita said he needs a new wheel chair because the old one is now worn out.
