——Kalulushi Member of Parliament (MP) Rayford Mbulu has called on the Kalulushi Municipal Council (KMC) to use government resources for intended purposes.
ZANIS Kalulushi Reports that Mr. Mbulu said this when Kalulushi Municipal Council (KMC) handed over a 4 by 4 ambulance and a tractor in Kalulushi, yesterday.
Mr. Mbulu said effective management and utilization of government resources by the will result in equitable distribution of development in the area.
He said Kalulushi district was a fast growing area whose services should be matched with the needs of the people.
He further said that the revised CDF guide provide an opportunity for council to allocate CDF funds to capital projects that were intended to benefit the whole community in the district as opposed to small scale projects sponsored by clubs.
Mr. Mbulu said the efficient utilisation of CDF had brought transparency and accountability in the manner the projects were approved by both the CDF committee and councils.
He said the procurement of a land cruiser 4 by 4 ambulance at a cost of KR404,534,572 from the 2011 CDF would go a long way in alleviating the many challenges that the district medical office had been facing.
Receiving the ambullance on behalf of the district Provincial Medical Officer Dr. Chandwe N’gambi said his ministry was committed to ensure that quality services was provided to the community as closer as possible.
Dr. Ngambi said the donation of an ambulance had come at the right time when the people of Kalulushi need it most for they only had one ambulance in a long time.
He said it was the second time an ambulance was being donated to them, which showed that health matters were a priority in Kalulushi and the country as a whole.
