—Foreign Affairs Minister, Effron Lungu, has called for increased trade between Zambia and Cuba.
Dr Lungu, who is in Cuba on an official visit, said government wants to see more trade between the two countries.
The Minister has since called on the Zambian chamber of Commerce to ensure that more trade takes place between the two countries.
Dr Lungu also called on the transfer of knowledge from the Cuban government in the form of value addition in the sectors of manufacturing and agriculture and the transfer of knowledge in architecture to help in infrastructural development.
And Cuban 1st Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Orlando Hernandez, said his country will continue paying special attention to food industries and other sectors of the economy.
Mr Hernandez said there were many areas where the two countries could cooperate.
