—The Seventh Day Adventist church (SDA) in Serenje have donated two bells of blankets to Serenje district hospital.
In receiving the donation, Serenje district hospital nurse Imasiku Kafula praised the church for the gesture.
Ms Kafula said the donation has come at the right time when the hospital needed blankets for the patients.
She assured the church that the blankets will be put to good use and will be used for their intended purpose.
Ms Kafula said it is important for the church to supplement government efforts in providing for the patients.
And SDA Dorcus Leader Violet Mwanga said the organization decided to donate to the hospital as a way of helping the institution.
She disclosed that the two bells are meant for the female and male ward respectively.
Later the Dorcus mothers processed to clean the female and male wards at the named hospital.
