Mr. Kafula said the equipment would be used to upgrade the road network in the district.
‘’ I can confirm to you that the local authority procured two earth moving equipments which includes a grader valued at KR 519,000 from the United Kingdom and a tipper at the coast of KR 167, 000, “ he said.
He explained that the council bought the grader through KDD Auto link while the Tipper was gotten from the Inter trade Supply Limited, both companies from Lusaka.
Mr. Kafula said the money used to procure the equipment was came from the CDF.
He told ZANIS in an interview over the weekend that the district is faced with developmental challenges such as garbage collection and poor road network.
‘’ I believe that the equipments will greatly improve the road network in the district and improve development, ‘ he said.
