New districts to create youth employment-Mwaliteta
Senanga, April 21, 2013, ZANIS…Western province minister Obvious Mwaliteta says the creation of new districts in the province will provide job opportunities for the youths.
The Minister said this in a speech read on his behalf by western province deputy permanent secretary Namukolo Kamona when he officiated at the Provincial Pathfinder Camporee for the Seventh Day Adventist at Senanga High School.
Mr Mwaliteta said the PF manifesto advocates the integration of youths in leadership and decision making as no meaningful development can be attained without youth involvement and participation.
The Minister said it is government’s position that no society can survive without the active participation of the youth.
Mr Mwaliteta urged the church to continue working with the youth to accomplish the God-given mandate of global evangelism.
The minister also called for patience and cooperation as problems facing the youths may not be addressed overnight.
He was however quick to note that the fruits of government’s commitment to addressing their problems will eventually show.
Mr Mwaliteta said among other things the establishment of new districts in the province will not only create employment but will also help improve the living conditions of the people.
The Camporee was attended by over two thousand youths from all the districts of western province.
