Provincial minister cautions public workers
Chilubi, April 20, ZANIS ——- Northern Province Minister Obius Chisala has advised public service workers in the region to refrain from unprofessional conduct such as beer drinking while on duty.
Mr Chisala says he will not hesitate to recommend for the instant dismissal of government employees found misconducting themselves while on duty.
He noted that the PF government is determined to delivery development to the people and anyone trying to work against its vision would be dealt with sternly.
Mr Chisala who is also Chilubi Member of Parliament was speaking in his area yesterday when he addressed public service workers in the council chamber.
The Minister said civil servants must tune themselves in line with the PF manifesto in order to accelerate delivery of services to the public.
Mr Chisala has directed Provincial Permanent Secretary Hlobotha Nkunika to flash out all government workers with a negative attitude towards work.
And Mr Chisala said government has started addressing the challenges facing Chilubi district as evidenced with the construction of hospitals on the mainland and Island respectively.
He also said government plans to put an embankment that will link Chilubi mainland and the Island, thereby making Chilubi accessible by road apart from water transport.
Mr Chisala also disclosed that the construction of housing units for public service workers in Chilubi district will soon commence.
Mr Chisala is in Chilubi to inspect developmental projects together with Provincial Permanent Secretary Hlobotha Nkunika and other governmental officials.
